The Grand Finale: “Demo Day” Concludes with Mobile App Development Graduates' Creativity in Benghazi!
The final “Demo Day” on March 6, 2024, marked a remarkable conclusion to the training journey at Maharah Coding School with the last group of Maharah trainees: the Mobile App Development group in Benghazi. It was a culmination of the trainees' efforts and innovations throughout an intensive training program.
Harvesting a Season of Creativity on Benghazi Demo Day:
Over the course of a month, the Mobile App Development trainees embarked on a rich educational journey, aligned with the previous Maharah groups in both tracks. They acquired professional mobile app programming skills, including user interface design, programming various app functionalities, as well as technical skills such as quality assurance and cybersecurity, and essential soft skills for the job market.
This exceptional educational journey culminated in the trainees presenting their graduation projects to a panel of expert judges, including:
- Esra Alamami, Business Process Management Specialist at the Libyan International Medical University / Former Lecturer and Master's degree holder in Software Engineering.
- Mumin Alnaas, IT Manager at ION Technology.
- Waleed Elshibani, Benghazi Branch Manager at Tadawul Financial Group.
4 teams competed for the title of the best project.
Team “RAM” Wins Best Project Award:
Team “RAM” impressed everyone with their innovative project “Courses & Tutors(CAT)” which represents a valuable addition to the Libyan job market.
This application consists of three main interfaces:
- Student Interface: Allows students to search for training courses in their field of specialization or for private tutors in specific subjects.
- Teacher Interface: Allows teachers to display their qualifications, view their schedules, and communicate with students interested in their services.
- Educational Center Interface: Allows educational centers to display the training programs they offer and makes it easy for students to access them.
The “Courses & Tutors(CAT)” application is a great example of how mobile app development technologies can meet the needs of the local community and provide innovative solutions to current challenges.

The Next Step: Connecting Graduates with the Job Market:
With the training phase concluded, Maharah Coding School continues its efforts to support its graduates through the organization and continuous work on the Job Placement process in the coming period, preparation of which have already begun.
Through this process, we aim to connect employers from various business sectors in Libya with Maharah graduates, allowing them to showcase their skills and experience and build a successful career path.
