    Maharah Demo Day: Celebrating Achievements and Aspiring to the Future

    Maharah Coding School hosted “Demo Day” events to celebrate its trainees who successfully completed their intensive 4-week training program that began on January 6, 2024. This day was a culmination of their efforts and a recognition of their dedication to acquiring programming skills and developing their professional abilities.

    Two remarkable Demo Days were held this month:

    The first took place in Benghazi on February 7, 2024, for Fullstack Development Path trainees.

    The second was held in Tripoli on February 10, 2024, for Mobile App Development Path trainees.

    Benghazi Celebrates Digital Creativity:

    The Demo Day in Benghazi kicked off with great enthusiasm, where 6 teams competed for the winning title in front of the judging committee which included:

    • Mrs. Ibtihal Shami
      Assistant Professor at Benghazi University – Faculty of Electrical & Electronics technology
    • Mr. Ahmed Benmussa
      Founder & CEO of Majaal and tika construction chemicals
    • Mr. Osama BenKhayal
      CCO @ ION Telecom

    Team “Packets” impressed everyone with their outstanding project: a Learning Management System (LMS) that empowers students to communicate effectively with their teachers and schools. It also serves as a central hub that facilitates their access to important information such as assignments, exams, and learning materials. The project won the admiration of the judging committee and the team was crowned the winner.

    The event was filled with excitement and celebration, as all trainees expressed their happiness at completing their journey with Maharah. The program has enhanced their programming skills and equipped them with the professional abilities needed to confidently enter the programming job market.

    Tripoli Welcomes Future Developers:

    The excitement and joy of completing the journey were no less in Tripoli, where 6 teams from the Mobile App Development Track presented innovative projects to the judging committee which included:

    • Mrs. Sarah Benlamin
      Communication Manager at Expertise France
    • Mr. Ahmad AlJazzar
      Senior Developer
    • Mr. Firas Tantoush
      Online Services Consultant at CelineAir

    In the presence of guests from the European Union, UNDP, and the Quality Assurance and Professional Standardization Center of the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Local Government, as well as from a number of companies.

    Team “Cloud” stole the show with their unique idea for an app that aims to:

    • Create opportunities for advanced-level students to give lessons in the subjects they have passed to first-level students, providing them with a source of income during their studies.
    • Provide first-semester students with the opportunity to take courses at lower prices.
    • Verify student information to ensure quality education and security.

    The judging committee praised the innovative idea and selected Team “Cloud” as the winner.

    Why is Demo Day Important?

    • It provides a platform for trainees to showcase their projects to a panel of expert judges.
    • It allows them to receive constructive feedback and develop their presentation skills.
    • It fosters a spirit of competition and creativity among trainees.
    • It celebrates the achievements of trainees and encourages them to continue their educational and professional journey.

    Celebrating Achievements and Looking to the Future:

    The Demo Days in both Benghazi and Tripoli witnessed a wonderful atmosphere where trainees expressed their happiness at completing their training journey and the opportunity to present their projects to experts. The events also contributed to fostering a spirit of competition, creativity, and knowledge exchange among trainees.

    Maharah Coding School looks forward to continuing to showcase its trainees' successes through upcoming “Demo Day” events for groups. Similar events are scheduled to take place in Sebha for both Fullstack and Mobile groups, in Benghazi for the Mobile group, and in Tripoli for the Fullstack group during the period from the end of February to the beginning of March.
