Technical Requirements
- Basic Computer Skills
- Familiarity with installing and configuring basic software applications.
- Comfort with using text editors (e.g., VS Code, Notepad) and managing compressed files (e.g., ZIP).
- Prior Knowledge of Web Concepts
- Basic understanding of how websites work, including HTML pages, links, and navigation.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) encouraged but not mandatory.
- Awareness of design tools like Figma recommended.
- Basic HTML & CSS Knowledge (Recommended)
- Understanding of basic HTML tags (e.g., div, a, p) and CSS selectors (e.g., .class, #id).
- Familiarity with Flexbox or CSS Grid is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of browser developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools) to inspect and modify web page elements is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Version Control (Git)
- Helpful for team collaboration, especially in projects requiring version control systems.
Non-Technical Requirements
- Interest in Design and Web Development
- Strong interest in web design and front-end development.
- Willingness to learn new tools like Figma, UIKit, and web builders.
- Openness to experimenting with new frameworks and technologies.
- English Language Proficiency
- Sufficient proficiency to understand technical documentation and follow instructions.
- Course content and tools will primarily be delivered in English.
- Ability to Work Independently and in Teams
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to engage actively, ask questions, and contribute to group exercises.
- Availability
- Physical attendance is mandatory
- Availability in the afternoon (from 3:00 to 6:00 pm) during the course period from 16 Nov to 28 Nov
Course Setup Requirements
- Computer with at least 4GB RAM and reliable internet access.
- Creation of a free Figma account prior to the course.
- Access to a WordPress sandbox or local server setup (XAMPP, MAMP, or Local by Flywheel).
- GitHub account recommended for version control and project collaboration.
