Maharah

The Maharah Coding School is an educational initiative to equip young people in Libya with coding and technological expertise. Developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and financially supported by the European Union (EU).

It aims to support the youth with technical skills in coding and as instruments of social and economic development. By offering a curriculum that addresses challenges like market entry and regulatory navigation, it's a catalyst for sustainable peace and development. This approach prepares a new generation of young Libyans to be peace innovators, contributing to a stable, prosperous future in Libya.

Mission

Through our practical training programs based on real experience in the local market, we strive to provide trainees with programming skills through an interactive and distinctive educational experience, and complement the basic programming skills training with additional training that includes the most important personal and technical skills necessary to prepare them for the job market and qualify them for professional jobs after the end of the educational path.

      What is Maharah Coding School?

      What is Maharah Camp 2024 – G1?

      It is the first training camp for Maharah Coding School, which started with registration in December 2023 and concluded in March 2024. The training program was held in 3 Libyan cities covering the west, east and south of Libya, namely: Tripoli, Benghazi, and Sabha, with two groups (paths) for each city: the fullstack web development path and the mobile app development path.
      The program targeted those interested in coding from the ages of 18 to 30 in the three cities, and witnessed the graduation of a total of 127 selected trainees.

      Are there any other training programs?

      Yes, we continue to support programming skills and talents through more training programs that will be announced on an ongoing basis.

      What are the registration requirements?

      The applicant must have a background in programming and be interested in it.
